Cloudhouses, home of yurts and squrts, provide quirky and luxurious festival and event accommodation structures which have been created by Justine and Simon who originally set up Yurts and Squrts in 2007. After making and selling yurts for several years we decided that creating pretty, fun and cosy festival and event, glamping accommodation was to... be our next step. We then rebranded as Cloudhouses home of yurts and squrts. Simon lived in a yurt for some time and our mutual love of these structures made us decide to share the joy with others. We struggled like many with cramped and noisy festival camping, we were fed up of leaky tents and cramped camping areas! so we decided that luxury festival accommodation was the way forward. We were sure that we weren't alone in wanting to experience festivals but in a hassle-free, comfy and peaceful way. Pre-erected accommodation, lots of space, heightened security, cleaner toilets and "yes" showers would make the festival life so much more enjoyable. We were so correct, festival boutiqu camping or Glamping is now an integral part of festival culture. As well as making yurts and our lovely cloudhouses, we also created and trademarked the 'squrt', our perfect mini yurt for two which is a real favourite with kiddies too!. For 2011, we created the ultimate glamping yurt, taking the concept one step further. Our 16 foot diameter yurts are the ultimate in decadence. With fitted carpets, double beds and carefully sourced hardwood furniture and sumptuous décor to give our customers more space and luxury.
