Cloud Peak Energy Inc. produces coal in the Powder River Basin in the United States. The company operates through Owned and Operated Mines, and Logistics and Related Activities. An auction is set for the assets of bankrupt coal operator Blackjewel LLC. A notice filed in federal bankruptcy court in West Virginia said the auction is scheduled for Thursday morning at the Cincinnati law office of attorneys representing Blackjewel.
