Clinton Hunger Run

The max served in one week was 425 households! Average new households per month: 50-60 households We have an all volunteer team of 15-20 people that dedicate their time every week. We serve anyone that says they are hungry each Wednesday from 11:00 to 6:00. We have received training to assist clients with SNAP applications (formerly food stamps). W... e spend the donated money wisely, rarely buy for more than eighteen cents per pound for product. We dont pay retail prices, stretching the money 5 to 1 at Arkansas Food Bank. We partner with Walmart, Cash Saver, Clinton Meat Processing, and the Hunters For The Hungry program, with additional support from Brandon Moving & Storage of Little Rock, Dollar General, Clinton Junior/Senior High School Backpack program, and the Hunger Run. We have so many awesome friends that donate from their caring hearts. Gifts come from churches, awesome local individuals, some from Little Rock and out of state. Help us help others help themselves. Foods for Life in Clinton was established in 1988 as a completely volunteer-operated effort, and served thousands of families a year up until its doors closed in 2019. Clinton Hunger Run proudly partnered with Foods for Life from 2013-2019, raising over $60,000 divided between the two facilities through 7 annual events.
