Kettering Health Network wanted to reduce the number of repeat radiologic studies ordered on their patients and generally reduce the amount of radiation used to image patients across their 55-location network in Ohio. To meet this goal, CliniCentric used a novel, collaborative approach to build a software solution that aggregates and analyzes milli... ons of radiology records to deliver a US-patented patient risk score (RADS). Today, clinicians at Kettering can now view a patients RADS score in seconds, as well as the their entire radiologic history in a single viewpoint. This allows clinicians to easily defer or modify proposed testing in favor of a decreased radiation and cost approach. The Ascendence Clinical Data Repository (CDR) is a parallel CDR powered with a healthcare information exchange (HIE)s data flow. It doesnt replace any current infrastructure. US Core (FHIR) based in its design, it leverages a simplified ontology to make implementation, maintenance, and future expansion simpler, cheaper, and quicker. The Patient Centered Data Report (PCDR) is CliniCentrics answer to the increasingly complex technology environments clinicians are so often forced to use. Powered by the Ascendence CDR (or a CCD) and accessible with the Convergence API, it gets clinicians to the information they need (and want) with a minimum number of clicks. The Convergence API allows for in-workflow access and use of a healthcare information exchanges (HIEs) data and information. Bi-directional, simple in design, and quick to implement, it allows for a range of technologies to be presented and accessed through a single, recognizable interface.
