We continually strive to improve and test the quality of our services. We underwent the Blackpool Borough Council (RDB) Star Rating Award and were one of the first homes to achieve the maximum of 5 Stars. Another testimony to the calibre of our staff and our home comes in the form of our latest Investors in People Award. Our catering team are renow... ned for their culinery skills. We have a simple catering policy...we endeavour to provide whatever a resident fancies. (One of the team speaks to each resident every morning to ascertain exactly what they want for their meals; if we don't have the item in stock, we get it!) The kitchen team have, for the past five years, achieved the Wyre Borough Council's Excellence Award for Hygiene - we are one of the few homes to have achieved this award. Food is cooked from fresh daily on the premises and each individual resident has a choice. We cater for dietary needs, diabetic, soft diet etc. We have a highly skilled and professional nursing team comprising of Registered Nurses assisted by highly motivated nursing assistants, many of whom ultimately progress through training to become registered Nurses - a fact that we all take great pride in. 80% of our nursing assistants hold an NVQ of 2 and above.
