The Claude Lyons Group was founded in 1918 and is still in private ownership. Since our early days we have been innovators in areas related to voltage and power control and more recently in energy saving and harmonic mitigation. To support our core business we acquired in 1985 The Transformer and Electrical Company Limited (TEC®) (founded in 1941), who design, build and market a wide range of power transformers, chokes and power supplies. The Claude Lyons group operates from its spacious and well equipped freehold factory of 35,000 sq ft (3250 sq m) at Waltham Cross, Herts, which we have occupied since 1979.
