About Civil
Civil was created by Guido Silvestri and Rob Asselin in 2006. After many years of working in retail, the two founders imagined a store concept outside the realm of the traditional skate/snowboard/surf shop. The vision was realized a year later when the first Civil location opened in East Greenwich Rhode Island. Since then we've added stores in Providence and Westerly Rhode Island. The company's product mix varies to suite the company's three distinct locations: in the city, on main street, and by the beach. Civil also has a private label collection and we've been honored to collaborate on projects with elite brands including Nike SB and SLVDR. The company is also proud to support local ripping skateboarders and snowboarders, including the notorious Yawgoons.
