Since 2003, Circostrada Network works to develop and structure the fields of Circus and Street Arts in Europe and beyond. With 84 members from 25 countries, it contributes to build a sustainable future for these sectors by empowering cultural players through the production of resources and actions of observation and research, professional exchanges... , advocacy, capacity-building and information. Circostrada Network is: A platform to meet, exchange, and develop projects: Work Groups of the network develop its key strategic projects: pilot programmes, Fresh seminars and advocacy actions 2 bi-annual General Meetings for its members with: tailored programmes to meet the artistic and cultural local scene, newsrounds, workshops, work group sessions and more An international forum to meet and reflect on the sustainable development of circus and street arts in a global environment: "Fresh Street" and "Fresh Circus", flagship international seminars open to all cultural players A network engaged in a continuous dialogue through tailored projects and meetings with: Public policy makers - to advocate for better recognition of circus and street arts, from a local to a European scale The umbrella organisations for training and education - to improve the synergies between the academic and the professional fields, and further the professional integration of artists Other sectors and disciplines - to develop fertile synergies and encourage the fostering of new ideas A laboratory to explore new topics, representative of the evolution of our fields in a changing environment: 3 current pilot programmes focusing on "adapting to change - innovation", "audience engagement" and data-collection on our fieldsRead More
