Frank and Carolyn Thurber entered the restaurant business in 1972. Over the years they owned and operated 4 different concepts. Chuck House was first formed in 1976 in the town of Edmond across the street from the UCO campus. The N.W. 10th street location was opened December 20th 1978. Our second current location opened in Mid West City in 2009. Th... roughout our history some 34 family members have worked with the Thurber family in our business. Some of our employees have gone on to be college professors, nurses, bank presidents, sheriffs, as well as FBI employees and a geologists for Devon energy. Today sons Jay, Jeff, and Lee are the current owner operators of the family business and have the third and fourth generation of Thurber's working with them. We have been blessed to watch customers bring their families in until their kids grew up and started bringing their kids in.
