Our heavenly Father, never has that problem, He isnt frantically searching through His memory bank for your name. Many times in the bible when God spoke to people He called them by their name, and intersected in their lives right where they were. When God went to speak to a confused little boy, He called the boy by name. Samuel! Samuel! (1 Samuel 3:10) Or to get the attention of a weeping woman seeking her crucified Lord, He called her by name. Mary! (John 20:16). When He wanted to reroute a man traveling toward Damascus to persecute Christians, He called him by name. Saul, Saul (Acts 9:4). The Father knew where they were just as He knows exactly where you are. He knows you personally. It doesnt matter if your a new believer or seasoned in hearing His voice, God meets you where you are, and speaks in a way He knows you can hear Him. He didnt just know you when you were born to just forget you. Rise up in confidence your Father in heaven has something distinct to say to you, right where you are. Are you asking Him a question, He wants you to! He wants to be in every detail in your life, because He loves you, and cares. Clear the clutter, lean in and listen for Him, because He is speaking to you, its just about tuning in and believing He has something to say. This is the relationship He birthed us for with Him. The Holy Spirit will never speak anything contrary to whats written in the scripture. Its important to know what He says to discern His voice, from the voice of the enemy of your soul.
