Christ Mission Possible is a local charity that provides food and accommodation solutions to the needy and those who are most vulnerable. Making the impossible Possible is an initiative to transform lives through the power of Jesus Christ. We show outrageous love to those in need and support the most vulnerable in critical times of homelessness, ab... use, addiction, hunger and crisis. Christ Mission Possible (CMP) is unique in its proclamation of the gospel to transform lives. Through tangible assistance we provide Housing Solutions and Food Solutions primarily to those experiencing Homelessness and those at risk of homelessness. Founded in 1999 by local couple Abraham and Allyson Akkary taking equipment into remote areas of Papua New Guinea, CMP began its food operations in September 2006 providing one hot meal a week on the streets to people in need at Mt Druitt, and began its Housing Solutions in 2009 with homeless crisis accommodation facilities. Today, through our loving staff, faithful volunteers and committed partners, we: Each week we support over 7,000 people with essential food, Provide over 1,500 meals on the streets or through school programs every week, Every year we provide crisis temporary accommodation to over 1,200 young people, single adult men and women, women with children & families; Also rehouse over300 people a year into more permanent accommodation through our Rapid Rehousing Program. In caring for our community, we harvest $15,000,000 of food each year, this is food that would otherwise be discarded, we believe that good food should not go to waste but should be redirected to those in our communities that require it the most.Read More
