About Chocolats Latour

To this day reports of slave labor and child slave labor from cocoa producing countries abound. We believe that a food as divine as chocolate should be good for everyone involved. . Our products are made with chocolates that are either fair trade certified or from companies that work with farmer co-operatives. We use chocolates from the Santander region of Columbia. We use as many local ingredients as we can find. Local ingredients are the freshest and most delicious! All of our herbs are locally sourced (some from Shalinis own garden, others from Carriage House Farm and Wind Dance Farm). We use cream and milk from Snowville Creamery , their cream is thickest and most delicious. We also source as many fruits and nuts locally as we can. Shalini enjoy strolling to the Cincinnati Farmers Markets to find new ingredients and flavors to use in chocolate making. Following growers suggestions has lead to some of our favorite flavors, like Juniper. Our packaging are made with recyclable or compostable materials. We do not use bulky plastic inserts. Our boxes might appear smaller then of some the national brands but they are filled with more chocolate! We are committed to continually look for new earth friendly alternatives, if you have suggestions please send them on!Read More
