Though we are now a 2 form entry school, we pride ourselves on getting to know the needs of all of our children, families, staff and community to help them reach their potential. The many awards our pupils continue to achieve reflect the diversity of our children's interests and ambitions and our staff's desire to equip our pupils for the best poss... ible start to the next stage of their education. We were very proud to be graded a 'Good' school by Ofsted in March 2013. The inspectors recognised the varied backgrounds our children are from and praised the time and care taken by staff to close gaps in learning for our vulnerable pupils and the good or better progress our students make during their learning with us. From often very low on-entry baselines, almost all of our children reach at least National standards by the end of their time with us. We were also thrilled to make it into the top twenty schools in Northampton at no 16. Our 360 children, in 12 classrooms, benefit from spacious working environments and wonderful outside grounds to stimulate and challenge all areas of development alongside their academic learning. Our new KS2 building was completed this year, providing a more contemporary learning environment for our older pupils. This is my 14 th year at Chiltern and there's hardly been a day pass by when our children haven't failed to impress me with their enthusiasm and determination to learn and apply new skills to the wide range of opportunities they are provided with.
