Children's Resource offers in all its programs, a developmentally appropriate philosophy that allows for individual differences. Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) are developed for all children allowing for their unique differences in our inclusive classrooms. An inclusive setting is one that integrates children with special educational needs wit... h their typically developing peers. Research shows many benefits of inclusion for children with special needs, as well as, for typically developing students. One of those benefits is the long-term effects on typically developing students who are part of an inclusive classrooms at a very young age. They acquire a heightened sensitivity to the challenges that others face, they have increased empathy and compassion, and improved leadership skills by mentoring classmates with disabilities. An inclusion program provides a much wider variety of experiences than in a segregated special education classroom. Overall, inclusion builds self-esteem, improves attitude towards school and strengthens socialization and academic skills. CRF is dedicated to deliver the highest quality of services to children developing typically and with special needs and to serve as a resource for parents, professionals and members of the community.
