The Community Health Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the provision and delivery of health care services within Lafayette County by providing scholarships to health related education as well as providing other investments in our County's primary health care infrastructure. The Jill Thompson Memorial Scholarship was awarded for the first time in... 2008. Jill dedicated her life to the health and wellness of Lafayette County and served as the Lafayette County Health Department Administrator for over 20 years. The scholarship provided in her name is given to students interested in pursuing a degree with a public health focus. "Growing Our Own" is the concept she championed. The CHF Board is governed by a group of volunteer members who guide the Foundation's development, provide direction for fund raising efforts, and distribution of those funds.
