CheckCare was founded in 1999 and specializes in check processing and credit card services. CheckCare can provide your company with a customized check processing or credit card solution that fits in with the way your company does business. We offer traditional point of sale solutions such as check verification, check guarantee, back office conversi... on, and check collections, but our approach is to tailor these traditional services to meet the unique needs of your company. In 1991 Robert Cooper made a decision to leave the United States Air Force, where he had served for 10 years as a Captain, and as a C-141 pilot, and as a helicopter pilot. His decision to leave the Air Force was based upon a desire to spend more time with his family, and it lead him to another decision, and that was to start his own business. In the beginning CheckCare was a simple check guarantee and check collections operation. They did not offer any check verification or electronic services at all. All collections activity was done through the use of physical checks and index cards. In 1992 CheckCare became the first customer of Rocky Mountain Retail Systems who had developed a check verification system which is now known as NCN, and it is owned by Intuit. Over the years CheckCare added services such as TEL Checks, WEB Checks, and ECC. Cash register integration, credit card processing and the CheckCare BOC processes were the result of a deliberate and effective creative process by the CheckCare team. Along the way CheckCare greatly enhanced the software that had been previously used by the Checkcare operation by adding features that enable our clients to access detailed information about their accounts, including copies of check imagaes. CheckCare also added the capability for debtors to access their records and to make payments on their account online.
