Chanice McClover-Lee is a youth organizer, writer, and changemaker, and student at Howard University deeply committed to radically transforming society in ways that have never been done before. Her commitment to societal change has been shown through her writing, experience as a community organizer, and global recognition. Chanice believes in using the power of writing to shift culture, and drive social change which is why she founded her blog The Melanin Diary , the #1 online global platform dedicated to social justice, history, politics, and more, that is entirely powered by Black youth all over the world. With the hundreds of thousands of readers the site has accumulated over the years, what started as an idea of 14-year-old Chanice, turned into a global hub of sociopolitical content. As an experienced Political Organizer, Chanices expertise lies in mobilizing young people and building youth power. Her youth-led organization Florida Changemakers, Inc. successfully hosts a 100% youth-led and organized summit focused on increasing civic engagement. Shes worked on campaigns such as the Voting Rights Restoration for Felons (Amendment 4), served as a Teen Advisor for the United Nations Foundations Girl Up Campaign, and is currently serving on the Young Womxn of Color for Reproductive Justice Leadership Council, to name a few.
