For more than 50 years, Changhae Ethanol produced high-quality potable alcohol and fuel grade ethanol by using various crops such as rice, barley, sweet potato, tapioca and more. By merging Bohae Liquor in 2003, we have achieved the highest market share in Korea by making up 15% of whole alcohol market. We have the state-of-art automated equipments... including energy saving vaccum distillation equipment designed by us and all processes are controlled with the latest system. Therefore, we make 2,3011KL of fermented alcohol and 20,178KL of refined alcohol. Since Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) will put into effect from July 31, 2015, Changhae Ethanol is expecting to reach up 15% share of fuel market for bio ethanol in Korea and is putting enormous effect to enter into bio fuel market. In order to develop core technology for bio fuel and bio chemical, secure permanence of enterprise and diversify research areas, Changhae Advanced Institute of Technology is broadening its area with bio-refinery process based on bio ethanol .Moreover, to secure diversity of raw materials, we are extending boundary of research by cooperating with research institutes inside and outside of Korea and is putting great efforts in developing business models using research outcomes.
