U.S. Chamber Watch is a project of Public Citizen. Its mission is to promote greater transparency and accountability in American politics by shedding light on the lobbying, campaign spending and misinformation campaigns of the largest corporate lobbying group in the country, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as on the large corporations that pr... ovide the majority of its funding. U.S. Chamber Watch conducts research and communications on the myriad activities of the U.S. Chamber, and works with small businesses; investors; and consumer protection, environmental and other public interest groups dedicated to fostering an open American political process free of undue influence stemming from massive, anonymous corporate spending. U.S. Chamber Watch aims to unmask the hypocrisy of the U.S. Chamber by engaging individuals, elected officials and the business community in the fight to challenge the U.S. Chamber's misrepresentations and distortions of fact. U.S. Chamber Watch was founded in May 2010. In April 2013 it moved to the Congress Watch division of Public Citizen, an advocacy, litigation, research and communication group with more than 40 years of experience protecting consumers and fighting corporate excesses.
