Life Magazines is a group of premium quality monthly publications established 12 years ago by Clare Cartmell - in the form of Alkrington Life - providing local residents with a neat package of interesting editorial, local event listings, a directory of local businesses and plenty of other helpful information. Delivered free to thousands of homes te... n times a year, every issue provides a great value method of marketing for businesses of all sizes. A cheaper alternative to newspaper and leaflet advertising, the magazines proved a hit from the start, with businesses appearing in our very first issue continuing to this day. As the Alkrington magazine grew in popularity and demand for advertising in nearby areas arose, Clare expanded into Chadderton, Middleton and Blackley & Moston with the help of Trevor and Chris Shaw. Thanks to the new publications and fresh blood, the magazines went from strength to strength, with improved designs, a new website and increased circulation.
