About CFAO Mobility Kenya

CFAO Mobility Kenya's history dates back to 1948 when Colonel David Theodore Dobie acquired the Mercedes-Benz franchise for East Africa, and in 1949, D.T Dobie was established in Kenya. CFAO acquired D.T Dobie in 2000. In 2012, Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) acquired the Corporation for Africa & Overseas (CFAO), based in Paris, France. In December 2016, Toyota Tsusho made CFAO a wholly owned subsidiary. Toyota Kenya Limited rebranded to CFAO Motors effective February 2022. As of March 31, 2023, CFAO Group companies in Kenya consisted of three entities: CFAO Mobility Kenya (previously named CFAO Motors Kenya), DT Dobie, and LOXEA Kenya, and effective April 1, 2023, DT Dobie transferred its business assets to CFAO Mobility Kenya. In 2024, CFAO Motors Kenya rebranded to CFAO Mobility Kenya as part of a strategic endeavor to solidify the company's brand positioning as a multi-brand mobility solutions provider.
