Evan Berk, a self-taught computer programmer and analyst, focused early in his career on how to make computers work to better support business processes. Taking programming positions with local manufacturers to help them implement and customize their planning and accounting systems, Evan quickly learned the ins and outs of inventory and resource planning, and became certified by the American Production & Inventory Control Society in production and inventory control. Realizing that he had a unique skillset that allowed him to bridge the gap between how a business actually runs and how it uses computer software, Evan launched his first company in 1988, focusing on providing inventory planning, production control and accounting systems for manufacturers. The business grew rapidly, becoming a local powerhouse in providing ERP and CRM software in the tri-state area. At the time it was sold, the company was supporting over 800 clients. Ron Buesing started, at the age of 9, to feed his interest in technology and music using digital keyboarding systems which required him to learn about wave and signal transformation.
