About Ceraflame

CeraFlame was established in 1982 to implement the idea of "The Everlasting Wick" developed by Norwegian Potter J.G.Olsen. In 1983 it became a great success, not in the least because of the exclusive deal made with the Norwegian Glass- works, Hadeland Glasvrk, which in a period of 18 months, manufactured more than 600 000 lamp units. In fact, the chairman of Hadeland told to Norwegian main newspapers and television, that the Ceraflame concept saved the factory from a close-down. The success was also based on the fact that Norwegian oil company Norol (later named Statoil), managed to develop a special quality candle oil for the wick in their laboratory, and thousands of gallons of CeraFlame Candle Oil has since then been sold in the international market. In 1984, JG Olsen also designed and made the Olympic runner/torch with the Ceraflame System, a major souvenir for the Olympic games in Los Angeles. What does Ceraflame do?

CeraFlame was established in 1982 to implement the idea of "The Everlasting Wick" developed by Norwegian Potter J.G.Olsen. In 1983 it became a great success, not in the least because of the exclusive deal made with the Norwegian Glass- works, Hadeland Glasvrk, which in a period of 18 months, manufactured more than 600 000 lamp units. In fact, the c... hairman of Hadeland told to Norwegian main newspapers and television, that the Ceraflame concept saved the factory from a close-down. We were present at the big celebrations of Independence Day in New York, with a close to perfect souvenir, a 34 cm high copy of the Statue Of Liberty, with the everlasting wick installed. It took a 5-hour helicopter session to measure and photograph all details, from all angles, before Olsen started the artwork in his studio! The figurine JG Olsen made for this purpose, was in fact bought by the First Lady, Nancy Reagan, in a limited edition in bronze, manufactured by Christiania Art and Metal Foundry, and was shown on national television, when the President hold one of his Friday speeches to the nation, from the Oval Office. In 1984 J.G. Olsen decided to construct the most secure system for living flame ever! The product was brought to the market in the 1990-ies, but until now, it has been a Norwegian-made product at far too high production costs to really take its market share. Today, as we are established with assembling and logistics in Estonia, and production of lamps and shades in Turkey, Poland and China, we can offer our products at the very best cost level as well. And this is what we show on these sites.Read More
