Centres Inc. was founded in 1982 by Kenneth B. Karl. During the early 1980's, Kenneth originated the factory outlet concept, developing eight outlet centers comprising of approximately 1,300,000 square feet, in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Indiana. Centres Inc. then shifted its focus to neighborhood center development in 1986. Through an allianc... e with Kmart Corporation, Centres Inc. developed twenty-four centers over the next seven years. Centres inc. currently focuses on the development of single tenant, net-leased properties, as well as supermarket centers , with an emphasis on build-to-suit programs for national tenants. Centers Inc has developed over 250 projects, in 30 states, totaling over 12,000,000 square feet.
