Who is Centre for Aboriginal Studies

The Centre for Aboriginal Studies is an Aboriginal-managed academic school situated at Curtin University in Bentley, just fifteen minutes out of the Perth Central Business District. The Centre was officially established in 1983, although programs for Aboriginal people at Curtin University have been operating since the mid 1970s. The building that houses the Centre, which opened in 1994, is beautifully designed to reflect the relationships between Aboriginal people and the land. Western Australia's first purpose-built Aboriginal Studies facility, it provides a base for Aboriginal and Islander students enrolled in programs both at the Centre and in general courses at the University.Explore more
