About Central Texas Flyfishers
The Central Texas Flyfishers since its inception has been involved in the teaching of the mechanics and traditions of fly fishing. We have formally taught fly-tying and casting for members of the greater community in San Marcos, at the annual Texas Parks and Wildlife Expos , and Fly Fishing and Kayak Days at Gruene, visited schools, presented "Fly fishing the San Marcos River" at the Texas Fly Fishing Show, as well informal instruction at our gatherings. We believe the best way of learning is by doing. Kim Heaston, has written an informative series of articles, Beginner's Corner, originally published in our monthly newsletter.
