About Central Print
It is our vision to preserve the craft of letterpress printmaking, expand, and modernize its use while building awareness of St. Louis' historical role in the development and growth of printing. Founded in July 2014 and located in the historic neighborhood known as Old North St. Louis, Central Print is a studio and classroom space in a renovated storefront, formerly a Sobel's department store. We host programs for families including free Saturday printmaking activities during the Old North Farmers Market and on event days throughout the year. Fee based programs for all ages include printmaking classes, workshops, and outreach programs. Take a tour and learn about letterpress history, preservation, and the importance of letterpress in our world today.
