Our 50th Reunion was nothing short of a "blast-from-the-past" for me. I sincerely hope all who attended one or more of the events had an equally great time. Judging from the smiles and enthusiasm and energy I saw at the events, I'd bet everyone did enjoy themselves and really did enjoy the catch-up visits with old classmates. While you might guess... it would be difficult to recognize someone you haven't seen in a long time, it was nonetheless a surprise in many cases to have to peek at the name tag for help. Some people seem to never change; some really did look a lot different if it were 30 or 40 or 50 years since the last meeting. But once the introductions were done, it was talking with old friends about their lives, families, mutual interests and memories. To all of you who have made or will make contributions through the Class Gift, a heartfelt thanks. At last report, Central Catholic HS has received donations totaling $5,450 and has an additional $650 pledged. I'd call that a generous assist to the school. There will be future Class of '58 events for those of us who are "still here" when the time comes. Please know that you will be welcomed if you can make them and missed if you can't. Finally, on behalf of our class, I thank our Reunion Committee whose members have given countless hours before and during the events so that we - especially the rest of us - could enjoy each other. We all owe a special thanks to Bill for his outstanding job creating and maintaining the web site. May all of you have a blessed and happy future.
