Centers for Independence was founded in 1938 as Jewish Vocational Service. In 1990, it changed its name to Milwaukee Center for Independence. In 2021, it changed its name to the present-day CFI. Since then, the Centers for Independence has strengthened communities by helping people advance their total health. CFI is dedicated to assisting people of... all ages and abilities achieve their fullest level of independence through a supportive environment that fosters hope.
