Center for Collaborative Solutions

Founded in 1991, the Center for Collaborative Solutions is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission and a passion for unleashing the power of people working together-helping others to discover innovative and effective ways to achieve shared goals. Our current work is built around two complementary departments with the overarching goal of... improved health and well-being. Focusing on SOLUTIONS in both departments, our work is both grant-funded and fee-based. For example: In our workplace solutions work we serve as the neutral convener of the California Education Coalition for Health Care Reform (CECHCR), a labor-management collaborative effort to address health care cost and quality issues in the public education arena. Our afterschool solutions work addresses two important areas in low-income communities: a Healthy Behaviors Initiative that builds exemplary afterschool practices in nutrition, physical activity and food security, and a My Brother's Keeper Initiative that focuses on improving the lives and futures of boys and young men of color. In both departments, the Center also provides fee-for-service training, facilitation, coaching and consultation services, as well as a variety of resource and support materials.
