Welcome to Centennial Tattoo! Were located in Salida, Colorado, aka The Heart of the Rockies, in the Centennial State. We opened our doors on June 13th, 2018, after months of searching for the perfect home. Everyone is welcome, this is a safe space. Amanda has been tattooing since 2008, but has been involved in the industry since 2005. Her whole li... fe has been filled with art; as a child, her parents would find her awake late at night, drawing quietly in her room. As an adult, she found herself drawn to making a living through art and enrolled in the art program at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Two years later, she moved back home and finished college, graduating with a degree in fine arts from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Roller derby became a huge part of her life in 2005 and that's where she started falling in love with the art of tattooing. Through one of her teammates, she met some tattooers at a local reputable shop. She spent two years apprenticing under Steve Bauer in Colorado Springs. Eventually, she moved to the Denver area, started skating with an internationally-ranked top ten team, and began working for Tribal Rites in Boulder, CO. After eight years in the Boulder shop, it had become time to move to a new home. With plenty of friends in Salida, lots of new people to meet, and a roller derby league to skate with, Amanda had found a great community.
