He spent summers as an apprentice in plumbing, framing and finish carpentry. After graduation from college, he worked as a Claims Professional for State Farm in Southern California for 12 years in the capacity of: Property Claim Adjuster, Property Claim Supervisor, Construction Defect Claim Specialist, Property Claim Superintendent and Catastrophe Coordinator. He directly supervised teams of adjusters and managed national teams that resolved large loss claims for the Northridge Earthquake and Laguna Fires. In 1999, he left State Farm to open up CC&R Construction with a goal to provide a better restoration experience for both the property owner and insurance carriers.
