It was formerly known as the Highway Planning and Design Institute (HPDI) of the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China, and was reconstructed and merged into the China Communications Construction Company Ltd as the solely-invested subsidiary. During the past 60 years since its... foundation, the company undertakes the survey and design for roads and bridges as its core businesses, and has formed the businesses of bidding agency, municipal works, bridge and tunnel supervision and maintenance, tunnels and rail traffic, and engineering management, as well as assisting businesses of traffic planning, engineering survey, quantity survey, and construction supervision by expanding towards both the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.
