Catalysta is an activist production company that specializes in multimedia events. Catalysta debuted at the turn of the century as an initiative for high school students from around the world to consider social, economic and environmental issues through curricula steeped in the works of artists and researchers. Students collaborated internationally... on projects concerning water and globalization. Catalysta opened to the public with its second iteration emphasizing sustainable careers with original articles, interviews and event listings in North America. The current phase utilizes podcast, video and collaborative series. Catalysta explores the possibility of a world where people and planet come before profit. Six series and a co-op explore and promote satisfying livelihood: 2 minutes to minute - an extravaganza invites artists and activists worldwide to participate in a multimedia festival for personal, social, economic and political evolution based on books that explore how people work together. The Beautiful Work Challenge podcast teams with trailblazers who address the essence of a field, its current state-of-affairs and paths for transformation. Awareness in Action Workshop relates the consciousness of individuals to the world we live in. Podcast guests include luminaries of emotion, behavior and spirit. Whatabout is a kaleidoscopic wiki that documents the intention and actions of people, organizations and systems in the context of such themes as democracy, war and plastic. MunchCo Calling! is the ongoing tale of the Munch family empire and its impact on people, planet and profit. Dream Job investigates how young people can establish and nurture careers that assist the transition beyond capitalism.
