Cascadia's partners have been managing institutional venture capital funds since 2017, making us one of the oldest and most experienced venture firms in the Pacific Northwest. We have formed and committed five funds to date. With two funds headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Cascadia possesses a novel perspective on early stage technology... throughout the Greater Pacific Northwest. While many venture funds say they make seed investments or are stage agnostic, we specialize in funding true startups. Cascadia's investments have represented the first institutional capital in nearly one hundred companies. In addition, about half of all ventures funded by our team have been based on technology originating from a research institution or corporate lab. Cascadia focuses primarily on the Life Science, Energy and Power, and Information Technology as it relates to these sectors. We emphasize these industries because they are undergoing fundamental and irrevocable change, change which creates unique opportunities.
