The island has some of the most unspoiled picturesque beaches featured in many travel magazines and talked about by many travelers. Our desire is to give our guests the best possible hotel experience. Our rooms vary in different sizes and styles. Accomodations start from our one room Casitas, Cabana suites, Two bedroom suites, and a three bedroom Villa. Beauty and comfort is our goal! Vieques is the home of the ruins of the last remaining sugar mill. In the early 1800's to 1920's Vieques had a thriving sugar industry. In 1941 the United States expropriated the land, and it was closed. Today you can explore the crumbling remains of old walls and abandoned rusted machinery. Vieques has several horseback riding tour companies. Explore our many picturesque beaches and tropical vegetation , and ocean views from atop a horse. During WWII the US Navy had pretty much overtaken the small island of Vieques. The military built hundreds of concrete bunkers that are hidden in the hills and cannot be seen from overhead. the bunkers were used to store weapons and ammunition. The US Navy used the island for training and to test armaments. the armed forces pulled out in 2003 after numerous protests. Visiting the old Naval sight is a must!Read More
