Carzan Flowers

Carzan was established in 1992 as a small family business which has now grown into a full-fledged commercial operation with 3 large farms and a production of 100 million stems annually. These farms are at 2 very distinct and separate locations to enable the best growing climate for each variety. For example the Carnations are grown at our high alti... tude farm of 2350 meters above sea level. Our farms are bursting with an abundance of varieties with vibrant colour's, along with many long-standing favorites such as Carnation, Hypericum, Solidago, Limonium, Agapanthus, Ammi, Anigozanthos, Craspedia and Crocosmia. Their delightful mixtures are truly breathtaking. Quality is Carzan's mantra. Both Carol and Zaine believe that much of Carzan's success is due to its single minded focus on quality. We have set up strong quality procedures across the company from propagation, planting methods, harvesting, grading, post-harvest treatments, cool chain management to transportation logistics, ensuring even the smallest detail does not escape our attention. We only use tissue cultured plantings for our Limoniums to ensure that we consistently produce the same quality of flowers with the same vibrant colour and size. Our carnations are grown at high altitude to give them perfect environment to produce large flowers that are amazingly intense in colour. This enables Carzan to compete with all other carnation growing countries such as Colombia and Ecuador. Carzan is continuously searching for new varieties to cater for our end consumer needs, ones which are exciting and trend setting and which have long lasting blooms to add to our existing expansive range of flowers. Therefore we are continually researching for this and carrying out numerous trials.
