CAROTHERS was born, r... aised and educated in the Bay Area. He received his Associate of Arts Degree from Chabot College, his bachelor of science degree (Accounting) from California State University, Hayward, and his master of science degree (Taxation) from Golden Gate University. He has passed the NASDQ securities examination and is registered with the SEC and California Department of Corporations as an investment advisor. He has also received certification in personal financial planning from the AICPA and is a member of the National Institute of Business Appraisers. He is on the panel of Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association. Bob started in accounting in 1968 as a Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service. Leaving the Internal Revenue Service in 1971, he became employed with a large Bay Area C.P.A firm and was rapidly promoted to Tax Manager. In 1973, he opened offices as a practicing C.P.A in Fremont. He is active in many professional and civic organizations. HOLLY ITO was born and raised in Illinois where she received her bachelor of arts degree in Mathematics from Knox College. She then taught Math for several years at the junior and senior high school levels. In 1973, she moved to the Bay Area and began pursuing her degree in Accounting at San Jose State University. In 1978, she received a bachelor of science with Great Distinction in Accounting. Holly received her masters' degree (Taxation) at Golden Gate University in 1986. Holly joined the firm in 1979 and became a partner on January 1, 1985. She is the firm's specialist in estate and fiduciary taxation.
