Carlson Private Equity manages special situations and turnaround funds that were formed to invest in distressed and under-performing medium-sized "traditional economy" businesses across Central and Eastern Europe. This sector is the backbone of the economy but, as the marketplace has matured, it has become less well served by many private equity pr... oviders. Carlson Private Equity focuses also on under-performing companies, financial restructuring and turnaround situations. Since we are not standard private equity house but rather opportunities fund we do not avoid companies with significant losses and negative equity. Carlson Private Equity is also involved in aircraft leasing and real estate investments in Central and Eastern Europe. Since our firm was launched in 2003 we have rapidly established a strong reputation in the CEE private equity market. Carlson Ventures International was our first investment fund mainly dedicated to invest in publicly quoted companies from Chemical Sector.
