Carla Castilla

Carla Castilla currently serves as the District Director for State Senator, Hannah-Beth Jackson where she is responsible for managing the Senator's district staff and implementing the outreach plan for almost 1 million constituents in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Carla also served as an aide to Congresswoman Lois Capps and worked in the Whit... e House in Washington, D.C. She has been a volunteer, activist, and a family small business owner. Carla Castilla was born and raised in Ventura County by hardworking immigrant parents and was the first in her family to attend college and graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). With a degree in International Development Studies and Business Administration. Carla comes from a large working family of Farmworkers, Small Business owners, and Veterans, which have all instilled in her a hard work ethic, the value of service, and the duty to pay it forward. Along with a diverse range of experience in over 16 years of public service, Carla has worked on a wide range of issues such as addressing the environment with the recently passed California Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act and addressing the gender gap with the California Fair Pay Act. As our Supervisor, Carla plans to fight for More Jobs, Water Safety, Environmental Protection, Safe Neighborhoods, and preserving the quality of life for Ventura County families. Carla is a candidate for Ventura County's 3rd Supervisorial District, comprised of Camarillo, Port Hueneme, Southeast Oxnard, East Oxnard Plain, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Piru, East Lockwood Valley, and Eastern Portion of Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme.Read More
