Carers Link has created services specifically for the younger age range including one-to-one emotional, practical, and educational support. The iPhone enables us to invite the young carers to support sessions and regular social activities. Our young carers service coordinator, Emma Azzopardi, said: "We are very grateful to Barr Construction for the... ir donation of an iPhone. It will now be so much easier to communicate with the young people we support, sending them instant messages and group messages. This means we'll more easily be able to check how they are managing as well as keep them up to date on relevant news and information. "The phone will also be great for taking and uploading pictures and videos when we are out and about, letting more people know about our services and encouraging other young people to get involved." Catriona Watson, communications co-ordinator at Barr Construction, said: "Carers Link provides a valuable service to people in a position of care. Although a simple solution, the iPhone will be a vital asset to the team at Carers Link, making communication easier with young carers and opening up conversation channels in times of need. "We endeavour to work with the community at every project we work on and we hope Carers Link can use the iPhone for years to come and continue the great work they do."
