Weve also partnered with a global reforestation nonprofit to plant a tree for the first hire every client makes! In 2014, our employees took the initiative to form a Give Back Committee to organize opportunities to give back to our community, which has included volunteer events with Hands on Housing, Safe Place, and Strut Your Mutt. The past couple years weve also hosted Maven Youth Tech Camp a summer program for LGBTQ+ teens to learn about working in technology. Most notably, we have a strong partnership with Foster Angels of Central Texas, supporting their Toys for Teens Holiday Drive, SkipFest, and other events throughout the year. In 2015 we worked close with Foster Angels to begin a $10,000 scholarship awarded to a foster youth to help continue their education. Since then weve awarded new scholarships each year and had CareerPlug employees become mentors to help set up the recipient for long-term success.
