Stewarded by the Capital Area YMCA since 2015, the Greenwood Ave. Farmers Market was created in partnership with many local, county, and state organizations to address a long-standing need among Trenton residents: bringing local, healthy, and culturally-appropriatefood choices and health resources to families in underserved communities. Conveniently located behind the Trenton Transit Center and adjacent to senior housing and a preschool, we appeal to an array of residents within the Trenton community, including working professionals, seniors, children, and families. Each year, we aim to continue to champion the mission that started it all: Positively impact the economic development of local farmers, growers and entrepreneurs Throughout each market season, were able to create a deeper sense of community in a safe, family-friendly environment, where residents can shop for produce while enjoying health screenings and education, physical fitness activities, nutrition education, music, games, and more!
