Capital consistently performs as a best-in-class provider of emergency medical services and patient transportation. The follow provides a snapshot of what we offer: Two bases of operation including the primary base in Bangor, and a secondary base in Brewer, where Capital pioneered a cooperative model with the City of Brewer. This model includes a C... apital EMS provider and a Brewer Firefighter staffing an ambulance that is owned and operated by Capital. One of only two services in the Bangor area to be licensed at the paramedic level, meaning we guarantee a paramedic response when required 15 ambulances, including a dedicated neonatal transport vehicle and a dedicated critical care transport ambulance. Direct partnership with LifeFlight of Maine Dedicated medical director, David Saquet, D.O. Dr. Saquet is a board certified emergency medicine physician practicing full-time at Eastern Maine Medical Center in the emergency department. Real-time fleet tracking allows dispatchers to send the closest appropriate vehicle, and provide routing and directions based on real-time position. Zoll X Series cardiac monitors / defibrillators, which are the only devices that include Real Time CPR feedback built into the device. This is now a "standard of care" and leads to better CPR and better outcomes. Best-in-class clinical standards for providers, including the following required certifications above and beyond the minimum required for licensure: All levels: Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support, Geriatric Emergency Medical Services, specific pediatrics class (PEARS, PEPP or PALS), AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR. All providers also receive annual training in HIPAA, Bloodborne pathogens and all other OSHA required training, and LifeFlight Ground Safety training.
