Caliber Precision was founded 2005 in Mount Vernon Washington by Paul Budd and Bodi Orton as an extension of their friendships and combination of their respective talents as Engineer and Machinist. The early years established Calibers foundation in prototype and tool and die for defense and aerospace industries. This evolved to include production w... ork for various industries while maintaining the identity and standards developed thru defense that made the company attractive to start with. Weve moved twice in the last 15 years to accommodate the company's growth from the original two man 1100 square foot shop to the company's current location of 11,000 square feet and 25 plus employees. Along with the growth in size came progression in systems and qualifications with the addition of AS9100 certification, DD2345 registration, NIST 800-171 cyber security compliance, AJAC apprenticeship membership and tool / education incentive program. The result of the diligence to evolve along with the growth in size has allowed the company to meet the company's customers growing needs and resulted in 11 supplier of the year / supplier excellence awards from General Dynamics Ordinance and tactical systems division and various other recognitions.
