Without a new approach to treating solid tumors, the burden of cancer on our society will not be lifted. As such, we are looking beyond conventional cancer therapies - surgery, radiation and pharmacology - to develop a novel focal heat therapy approach to the treatment of solid tumors. At the heart of Calevia's technology platform is a novel disruptive nano material which aims to precisely deliver a lethal dose of heat to the cancer site while avoiding, and preserving, surrounding healthy tissues. To accomplish our goal, we aim to combine proven molecular targeting technologies and our cutting-edge photo-activable graphene material - known as MesoGrafXide - into one intelligent bio-conjugate.
