C. Thornton, Inc. is a general contractor that is based in Mobile, Al. In 1984 he began business as ThornHarris Company, Inc., Christopher Thornton was president and General Manager. Christopher was employed for sixteen years by J.E. Harris Co. Inc., beginning as an equipment operator. He worked for 10 years as Project Superintendent and five years as General Superintendent, before become the sole owner. In 1992 the company name changes to C. Thornton, Inc. and Christopher Lee Thornton was named Vice President of the company his father owns and operates to this day. C. Thornton, Inc. became a certified DBE enterprise in 1984 due to Christopher and his son Lee both being American Indians. Our currently work specialty is concrete road work, including poured in place culverts, sidewalks, curb and gutters, stamped & colored concrete, inlets, bridge end slabs and concrete barrier rails. We are currently licensed in Alabama and Mississippi holding both as General Contractor and DBE status.Explore more
