Butterfly Nursery

Butterfly Nursery is owned and co-managed by Rachel Stafford whose own children (now in their teens), as well as many of the other practitioner's children, attended the nursery. Rachel has worked at the nursery for 15 years and graduated with a Batchelor of Arts in Early Years in 2013. Being located in the heart of Peacehaven allows us to work clos... ely with all local primary schools, which we feel enhances the already excellent care and education we can offer our children. We are able to provide a smooth transition for our children from nursery to school. Being just a short walk from shops, the main bus route, local schools and with plenty of nearby free parking available we feel we have the most accessible childcare setting for parents. In September 2016 we re-located our Meridian school setting into the first floor of Greenwich House allowing us to provide even more flexible childcare options and facilities for our families to benefit from. We now offer children space to play and learn in our 2-3 year old Caterpillar Room (ground floor), our 3-4 year old Butterfly Room (first floor) as well as other areas to explore on the first floor - our soft-play/activity room, our sensory/sleep room and our small/focused group room. From January 2017 we will also be offering a Baby Room on our ground floor! We were inspected by Ofsted in November 2014 at our Meridian School Nursery; the provision was rated as 'outstanding' in supporting children's wellbeing and 'good' in all other areas.
