Butch Bennett Crash Repairs

Managing Director Butch Bennett completed his apprenticeship at the local RS Pink & Co. Holden dealership, adjacent to the Taminga hotel, in 1974. Upon completion of his apprenticeship, he was employed as workshop foreman at Paine Crash Repairs until 1981, at which point, he decided to establish Butch Bennett Crash Repairs. Initially the business h... ad a staff of two, soon growing to 5. By 1986, the business had outgrown the premises, and the Bennett family purchased an existing crash repair business on Temple Road. During this time, Butch Bennett Crash Repairs became the first repairer North of Adelaide to set up a computer quoting system, use two pack paint and use a jigging system for chassis alignment. Through the installation of the jigging system, Butch Bennett Crash Repairs became the only repairer in the region with the capability to repair structural damage to factory tolerances. By 2006, the business had once again outgrown its premises, and the Bennetts sought to have a purpose built facility constructed North of Clare at 414 Main North Road. The vision of the Bennetts was to provide the most modern and advanced vehicle repair centre in South Australia.
