The past few years have presented many challenges and changes, as such Little jewel and Care-a-lot are no longer in business. However, Greenland has continued to run smoothly and although... our philosophy and program has stayed the same, Greenland is now under new management in Amanda & Lee Cook. Along with a name change to Busy bees preschool! We are a licensed child care centre, offering a high quality, play based child care program for children ages 3-7 years old. Our program is designed to help children achieve their highest potential by guiding children's growth and development in a high-quality learning environment. We provide opportunities for child-centered, play-based learning experiences for young children in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe that learning through play offers meaningful learning experiences for children in which staff support each child's physical, cognitive, language, social and emotional development. We also recognize the importance of meeting the needs of individual children, as staff encourage children to challenge themselves to reach their full potential, and provide children with opportunities to grow and develop at their own pace within a group setting. Our staff are highly trained to meet the individual needs of children and their families, as well as respecting and embracing all cultural beliefs, and strive to create and promote strong partnerships with families to ensure a sense of community within our centre. Children and their families are invited to share ideas and culture within the program and encouraged to share and learn with the children of the center about cultures from around the world.
